Tour the Opera House

Discover over a century of history on a guided tour of the Orillia Opera House.

Built in 1895 and rebuilt after a fire in 1915, this landmark has dually served as city hall, police station, cinema, and always, a beloved performance venue.

Step inside the stunning Romanesque-style building, and explore its 677-seat auditorium (named after Gordon Lightfoot), see behind the curtain at what it takes to put on shows in this impressive hall, and hear stories of famous performers, local legends, and maybe a ghost or two.

Whether you're into architecture, music, or local history, touring the Orillia Opera House offers a unique look behind the scenes of one of Orillia’s most iconic buildings.
